Combines well with catnip to help promote a sweat during colds. Also mixes well with peppermint and yarrow - a traditional anti-catarrhal mixture. Mix with lemon balm for a relaxing and pleasant tea. For sinus problems, combine with mullein and lime flowers.
Directions for Use
One to two teaspoons to one cup of boiling water. Brew for 10 minutes, strain and drink up to four times daily.
Notes on the Herb
Elderflowers are an excellent anti-catarrhal remedy for colds, 'flu and allergic rhinitis/hay fever. Drink piping hot for cold and 'flu symptoms. Can be drunk chilled in the summer as a refreshing drink or for hay fever. Suitable for children.
